We study water treatment system in industries and cities.
We contribute to solving problems through mechanism elucidation and simulation by modeling flow and reaction in wastewater treatment systems.

Reason for applying to the laboratory Water is indispensable for both daily life and industry, and I believe that treatment technologies will become increasingly important in the future. Since I aspire to work in the infrastructure sector, I want to apply the knowledge and experience I gain here to my future career, which is why I became interested in this field. In addition, I heard from senior students that Professor Terashima is approachable and very kind, so I felt confident that this would be an environment where I could engage in research with peace of mind, and that motivated me to apply.

Reason for applying to the laboratory I have always been interested in research related to “water” as part of essential infrastructure, and I wanted to learn water treatment technologies that support people’s lives, which is why I chose this laboratory. Among the topics, I find the demonstration experiments aimed at energy-saving water treatment processes to be a very important theme, as they relate to environmental and energy issues. Through this research, I hope to acquire practical knowledge and skills and, in the future, contribute in some way to building a sustainable society.
